We hope you will join the network so that you can share your views, experiences and aspirations of owning and managing land-based assets.

You can join for FREE - all you need is a valid email address. You'll receive a monthly email digest of news and views from the network, and get access to all the interactive features of this site, which show up when you log in.

Community capacity building guidance

ODS consulting have developed draft guidance on building community capacity on behalf of the Scottish Government's Learning Connections team.  They're now looking for people to pilot the guidance and in return, successful applicants will get access to the guidance and four days of consultancy support to take their new ideas forward.

To apply, all you need is a good idea about what you want to do to improve your community capacity building.  It might be an idea about linking with what other people are doing in your area or assessing the impact of work you're already doing to raise community capacity.  You'll need to provide feedback on the guidance and devote some time to developing your idea during March - May 2009.  There's only space for four organisations to take part and preference will be given to applications that show they are working jointly with other organisations in the area.

They are also organising half day workshops to trial the guidance, taking place in six locations between March and May.  For more information on the guidance; the application form to take part in the pilot and the events, go to:  http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Topics/Education/Life-Long-Learning/LearningConnections/ccpguidance
