The Woodland Crofts section of the Community Land Unit at Highlands and Islands Enterprise have just published guidance for community landowners on rural housing bodies and rural housing burdens. The guidance seeks to clarify the role of rural housing bodies and the meaning of rural housing burdens. It also sets out some options for community landowners who want to use their land to address the issues of affordable housing in rural areas.
