As part of the Highland Homecoming Festival, communities are being urged to run events to celebrate individuals from their area who have made a significant contribution at home or abroad. The A'Chraobh project is looking to facilitate around 30 events across the Highlands which will bring together local performers to celebrate local heroes.  The events will take place during the Highland Homecoming Festival which runs from October 19-31, 2009.  Grants of up to £500 are on offer as well as practical advice and support to develop the events.  The deadline for applying for assistance is September 4th, 2009 and you can find further information at www.achraobh.com
