The prospect of a community owned wind turbine in Edinburgh is moving closer as the Portobello and Leith Community Wind Energy Project celebrate their success in the Energyshare public vote.
The group hope to build a turbine on the Seafield Waste Water Treatment Site in Edinburgh. They've now been awarded funding from Energyshare to complete their feasibility studies and hope to submit their application for planning permission next year.
