Scottish Community Land Network Invitation to tender
An opportunity exists for the continued development of this popular Community Land Initiative network, currently with 2,000 subscribers. The network is aimed at groups all over Scotland who are involved or have an interest in managing land and major assets on behalf of their community.
A new brief, to be funded by Highlands & Islands Enterprise Community Land Unit, aims to further develop the existing e-newsletter and online resource, to reach a wider audience, cover a wider range of information and introduce new applications.
The brief includes:
1. Compile and distribute monthly e-communications:
-
containing current and relevant information from a community land perspective
-
Including links and signposts to other information sources
-
Promoting communication between community land initiatives (CLIs)
2. Management of associated SCLN website:
-
As an archive resource for past e-newsletters
-
To provide feature articles and further information
-
To develop the existing database of subscribers
-
To promote communication between and among CLIs
We would like to encourage CLIs themselves to consider proposals to manage this contract, using their grass-roots level knowledge as an advantage, and as opportunity to generate an income stream. However this is not exclusive and tenders are also invited from the private sector.
Please pass this information on to anyone or any group you think may be interested.
Expressions of interest and requests for the full consultants brief should be made to Claire Hannah. The deadline for full submissions is 27th June 2008.
