The Forest Policy Group has published a report written by Andy Wightman which looks at the ownership of forestry land within Scotland. The report highlights the highly concentrated pattern of ownership of forestry in Scotland and makes a case for further exploration of the role of public policy in continuing this pattern. Andy Wightman also highlighted the current ownership of forestry and contrasts it with other European countries in a recent piece written for Scotland on Sunday.
