So far there are over 800 members, and more than 500 articles in our archive.

We hope you will join the network so that you can share your views, experiences and aspirations of owning and managing land-based assets.

You can join for FREE - all you need is a valid email address. You'll receive a monthly email digest of news and views from the network, and get access to all the interactive features of this site, which show up when you log in.

The most recent articles are available on the home page - previous articles are in their relevant topic areas (browse the 'Topics' menu on the left).

Free trees for community woodlands and nature reserves

Whether you think carbon offsetting is an easy let-off or a planet saving solution, the end result is usually the planting of trees.  And a UK company are offering community woodlands and nature reserves the opportunity to receive free trees as part of that process. On offer are UK provenance saplings of native species, in a mix which can be tailored to existing planting plans (but sadly for community orchards, can't include fruit trees).  The company prefer to work with organisations who can guarantee that the land is protected and unlikely to succomb to development.  They also promote the sites where possible, so there may be an opportunity for extra publicity.  If you're interested in finding out more, follow this link.
