The Woodland Trust in Scotland has launched a new scheme to encourage as many people as possible to plant new native woodlands. Successful applicants will get assistance with the design of new woodlands and with the submission of a funding application to the Scotland Rural Development Programme (SRDP). If the SRDP application is successful the Trust will then organise contractors to undertake the planting and maintenance work. The scheme is available to all landowners in Scotland who wish to plant up a minimum of one hectare of land. You can find further details here.
