Forest hydro and wind options

Forestry Commission Scotland has published updated information on potential opportunities for communities to be involved in hydro generation projects on the National Forest land. Further information on opportunities for wind projects will be published later in January. Potential sites can be viewed via a map on the Forestry Commision website. If communities are interested in developing one of these sites, they need to apply by June 30th, 2012. The website also includes an information pack which sets out the three options for community involvement in generation schemes.
