The Scottish Rural Property and Business Association has launched an initiative to highlight the potential conservation benefits of good estate management.
The initiative, called Wildlife Estates Scotland, is a national version of the EU Wildlife Estates label. It aims to promote best practice in game and wildlife management, to halt the loss in biodiversity and to improve public understanding and perception of estates. The first phase of the initiative will encourage estates to participate and establish a pilot scheme in the Cairngorms National Park.
