The Scottish Affairs Committee (of the House of Commons) has published a report on the Crown Estate in Scotland. The report is critical of the way the Crown Estate Commissioners have worked in the past, highlighting a lack of communication and consultation with local communities. It recommends the devolution of the commissioners' responsibilities to Scotland, but only after agreement on "further decentralisation to local authority and local community levels to the maximum extent possible".
