Disappointment for community buyout proposal

Coigach Community Development Company's plans were given a severe blow this week when the sellers of the Hydroponicum building in Achiltibuie, Wester Ross, pulled the property off the market.
The Company had registered an interest in the property under part 2 of the Land Reform Act (Scotland) 2003. All the necessary funding had been raised and the group had been due to purchase the building for the development of community facilities including workshops and affordable housing.
