Everyone knows that Scotland's political make-up changed dramatically at the May elections. But what does it mean for community land?
Alex Salmond, now re-elected as First Minister, has announced a new cabinet, which includes a move for Roseanna Cunningham from Environment and Climate Change to become Minister for Community Safety and Legal Affairs. The Environment and Climate Change mantle is taken on by Stewart Stevenson, whilst Richard Lochhead remains as Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs and the Environment. You can find a full list of the new cabinet here.
The SNP's manifesto included detailed commitments on renewable energy; a promise of a new Community Empowerment and Renewal bill; a continuation of the Climate Challenge Fund and, of course, that all important referendum. There's also a commitment to review the Land Reform Act and to establish a new Scottish Land Fund.
Now the challenge is to deliver on those promises, but the one thing that's not in question is that there will be exciting times ahead............
