Representatives of the community land sector are considering how to set up an umbrella organisation for community land intiatives.

The proposed organisation was one of the proposals in Jim Hunter's address at the recent conference in Harris (see previous article) and a steering group has now been set up to take the idea forward.  A study's also been commissioned by Highlands and Islands Enterprise on behalf of the community land sector to look at potential funding options and identify areas where the sector is currently under-represented.  If you'd like to contribute views and ideas to the steering group, please post them on the forum and we'll make sure they're passed on to the relevant people.

Don't forget that you can still give us your feedback on Jim Hunters proposals by voting in the poll on the home page of SCotLaNd - only 19 people have expressed an opinion so far...
