As part of the ongoing debate about Scotland's constitutional future, the Scottish Government have published an environmental and rural affairs policy paper in their National Conversation series.

The paper looks at some of the current issues in the sector and how those issues are affected by devolution and by any future constitutional changes.  It highlights where a different balance of responsibilities within the UK could, in the current Government's view, ensure that Scotland's interests were better served.  Wherever you stand on the independence debate, the paper makes interesting reading and gives you a chance to think about how the relationship between Scotland and the UK might affect the environment.  You can dowload a copy of the paper here.
