The Scottish Government has published a revised planning advice note (PAN) on community engagement within planning. The advice note focuses on how to ensure that effective community engagement leads to better plans and decisions.  It includes a series of national standards on topics such as who to involve; how to overcome barriers to involvement; working together and sharing information.  The advice note has only been published on-line and you can find it here.
