Planning Aid Scotland have launched a new mentoring scheme, in association with the Big lottery fund and Supporting Voluntary Action.  Through the scheme they're looking to provide planning advice and guidance to community led development projects across rural Scotland. The scheme involves the Planning Aid Scotland team of volunteers working with community groups to provide guidance and advice in developing projects, but also leaving transferable skills in communities for future work.  They hope that the mentoring process will help community groups increase their understanding of the planning system as well as providing an opportunity for planning professionals to interact with community groups.  You can find further information about the scheme on their website.
