The Carnegie UK Trust has launched a new publication - 'A manifesto for rural communities - inspiring community innovation.' The publication builds on their previous report (A charter for rural communities) published in 2007.  This new document sets out some opportunities for rural communities to thrive during these economically and environmentally turbulent times.  Based on the findings of a collaborative project with the Big Lottery, the report highlights some of challenges and potential solutions facing rural communities.  You can download an electronic copy of the publication here.
