From January 2011 some new woodland creation applications to the Scotland Rural Development Programme (SRDP) will be eligible for an additional 10% grant rate.
The extra 10% will apply to capital items (planting work, fences, gates etc) in applications that are either:
- using any of the three productive woodland creation options on sites recognised as 'preferred' or 'potential' in their local indicative forest strategy; or
- using any of the woodland creation options within the Argyll Islands woodland partnership area, Central Scotland Green Network area, the Northern Isles and Western Isles.
You can find further information about the new grant rates on the SRDP website or in the associated Forestry Commission press release.
